Mayor opens exhibition Drawing her Story Amersfoort
NIKA Art Projects has finished her 27th exhibition of Drawing her Story; taking place throughout the Netherlands. This time the exhibition showed drawings of women living in Amersfoort. For ten weeks, those women, coming from all over the world, have been telling each other their lives' stories, their fears and their dreams.
On Friday the 4th February 2011 the exhibition Drawing her Story was opened in the Amersfoort town hall. After the mayor had opened the exhibition - the result of ten weeks of hard work by the women who participated in the workshop - and after the catalogue had been presented, the participants were joined by members of the local community and together made a large drawing to conclude the opening.
